Picture

  • Put this book with your cookbooks or next to the computer where you will know where to find it and  can easily access it.
  • Write down only information you are comfortable having with your other records.
  • Punch holes in a small manila envelope and insert in binder.  Use for current photos, etc.
  • Or use photo corners on the back of individual divider  pages to include current photo
  •
  • Arrange pages in order that works best for you.  Remove pages you don’t need.
  • Use note pages from back to extend any areas where more room is needed for additional information.
  • Make your own extra pages.  Paper is the size of a half sheet of type paper.  Hole punched margin is .75", all others are .5".
  • Move address pages to individual sections  to record names that are pertinent to that person, such as piano teacher, baseball coach, best friends, etc.
  • Use one school schedule for each year, not each child.  Put near front of book where it is easy to find.
  • Move Year-in-review to front of book to quickly jot down dates and  events as they happen.  Include both large and small events.
  • For Newly -weds: Fill names of spouses’ parents and brothers and sisters in family pages.  Move address page to family section and include names and addresses of both spouses’ families.
  •  Always have an emergency  contact phone number for family members living away from home.  Could be a neighbor, roommate, etc.  If your child loses his cell phone, how do you contact him?
  • Keep track of elderly parents.   Write down their medicare numbers wishes, etc.
  • Take this book when registering your child at a new school,
  • or to doctor’s appointments and jot down instructions.  Extra note page at the back can be inserted if extra room is needed.
  • Note down employer references and contacts.
  • In Things I’d Like My Family to Know, write special thoughts, beliefs, testimonies, distribution of personal items, funeral arrangements, etc.
  •  In Resume of My Life Experiences, record jobs, memberships, leadership, volunteer work, special experiences, etc.
